SUP Introduction course
Learn stand up paddling (SUP), an enjoyable way of paddling! You get introduced to the equipment and the necessary safety cautions for stand up paddling. You learn the progress from knee-position to standing position on your paddle board. Finally, you learn to paddle in an economic way, abeled to maneuver the board in all directions.
2-8 persons. Duration 2 hours.
Must be able to swim

Introduction to canoeing. 3 hours
You get introduced to the essential clothing and equipment for canoeing. You learn to enter and leave the canoe in a proper way, to keep a proper position in the canoe, and how to paddle economicly without straining your muscles. Further, you learn the techniques to paddle straight forward in an effective way. You even learn to brake and stop, how to paddle backwards and how to make turns.
Duration: 3 hours.
4-8 participants. Must be able to swim.

“Canoe fun” – games and exercises. 3 hours.
During this session you will be presented for games and exercises, making a joyful time of your paddling. The content of the session is also useful for developing your paddle technique – you are actually improving your skills while having fun! A great session for families!
If no experience, we recommend the introduction course in front, to get the full benefit of this session.

Canoeing - Basic cource, 16 hours
Our main course of canoeing, sertified of Norwegian Paddle Association as a part of their education system (“Våttkort” – Grunnkurs). This course include the elements from the introduction course, so you don`t need any prerequisities to participate. Though, you need to be OK with staying in water.
You will learn to manuever the canoe in all directions; forward, backwards, sideways and rotating (turning), both alone and together with a buddy. You will learn about safe consequence thinking in paddling; how to avoid potential danger and how to make safe descissions during a trip. You will also practice the rescue procedures if an accident should happen; how to empty a capziced canoe for water and get the “swimmers” into the canoe again, effectivly. Finaly, you also learn how to plan a canoe trip, and how to pack your gear and the canoe.
Parts of the course can be done during a trip, and/or in a river, grade 1, if that is in interest of the group.
Duration: 16 hours (usually two days).
